Celebrity or no celebrity we are all prone to threats; I think it’s so wrong to regard celebrity to be of much importance than the usual citizens. To begin, we are tax payers, and this is to say the police motorcade belongs to every tax payer in the state. So, there is no rational explanation of why Celebrity should pluck in some bucks and receive special security treatment. Though everyone would agree they are VIP with car insurance Ontario, but who gives judgment of who is unique than the other? I am also unique in my own abilities. I can be a great programmer in my environs just like a profession in law, but that doesn’t mean I should get special treatment.
I agree with the New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg on the argument that “the police department should treat everyone the same,” this is the principle and spirit of communism. If you are obliterated by the thought that P. Diddy or Charlie Sheen are famous; then who said their life is at risk. If it was evident that the lives of such individuals were at risk, then special treatment would follow and the same would apply to a commoner. The whole issue rotates around money; Celebrity earn quite well the reason they would feel honored to spend thrift every penny that is lose.
The whole incident is embarrassing to the internal defense department; it shows lack of integrity in their dealings, and if Investigations are to be carried as Gendolyn Crump suggested, then it should begin with the heads of police motorcade who received the cash. The bottom line, is a simple no no answer for celebrity being given police motorcade. As a matter of fact who said our country has excess supply of security resources to misuse the way it feels like. If this tread won’t stop, the next one would be a hearing that one of our celeb’s sons was being escorted from the beach.
